Coming to Canada, it was a new place for me and my daughter, who was just 2 years old. We were uncertain about our stay and as time passed by, we realized the diverse culture prevailing here, and (my husband and I ) took steps to explore the opportunities. Previously, I was working as a Senior Test Analyst in an American based multinational company for 6+ years. It was a tough decision for me to leave that position.
When I started applying for jobs it was then that I realized there are lots of other important things to consider here for pursuing my career. My job applications piled up, more than 100 per month. After three months, I realized there was a gap in my approach to entering the workforce here.
Through one of my friends, I came to know about the ITB program. This program has provided me with clear perceptions concerning the Canadian work culture, and it has promoted our presentation of technical competencies. It greatly helped us take our learning to the next level in terms of getting placed in the Canadian workforce.
I am glad to get an opportunity as a Quality Analyst and I am grateful to my manager in Cohesic Inc. for trusting me.
