Over the past few weeks, our clients have gotten the opportunity to connect with our comunity in a lof of different ways. Here are a few of the exciting things that our clients have been up to!
Grassi Lakes
HeyHiker is an organization that provides simple, yet high-quality information about hiking to people. Recently, HeyHiker led a group of our clients on a beautiful hike. Here is what Jason had to say.
"The smiles on their faces said it all, this was now their’s to enjoy. I’ve been hiking in the Canadian Rockies most of my life and never have I seen so many smiles on one trail. The HeyHiker team and I had the privilege of leading over 50 new immigrants with the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society on a hike to Grassi Lakes, a beautiful set of lakes just above Canmore. The group consisted of men, women, and children from a variety of countries and diverse backgrounds. For most, it was their first time in the Canadian Rockies! At the base of the trail, we met up with Alberta Parks officials who taught us bear safety, even showing us some bearskins and claws. What big claws they have! Once we reached the lakes, we took a couple of hours to enjoy their beauty. Families picnicked, children explored, teens took photos, and boys skipped rocks on the water. It was true happiness. A happiness we all shared together. The HeyHiker crew would like to thank all the newcomers for providing us with such a fantastic experience. The glee in your eyes reminded us of the beauty of our home. It’s a beauty we want to share. It’s ours, yours, everyones. Peace and love." - Jason

Heritage Park with Kid Up Front
Kids Up Front provides experiences to deserving kids, teens and families. They recently were able to send a group of our youth clients on a trip to Heritage Park!
